Open the Window to Your Soul

As I sit on the porch with the sun shining so brightly, the thought goes through my head "don't look at the sun - it will hurt your eyes".  As I think about that I recall the Scripture of Jesus being "the light of the world".  I can only imagine the illumination in heaven, the true penetrating deep light, that sees right through and all around each of us at the same time. The sun on the sky is so bright it can hurt our eyes, yet as we look at The Son, we see grace, mercy, peace, forgiveness, love, hope.... the list goes on and on. His majestic creations are reminders to us of how Great, powerful and marvelous He is!

Sitting outside enjoying the beauty of the mid day sun is enjoyable, but that same sunshine at 6 A.M?... It's not so vibrant. Isn't that true with life?  Are there certain times when we're just not in the mood for The Light? Maybe it's welcome most of the time but, other times it's annoying or not convenient.

As the light of Jesus shines on us, penetrating our souls, ask yourself - do you allow the penetration through the window of your soul?  Or do you have the window closed, shades closed, and the drapes drawn to your own heart?  You can't share the light because you have not let any in to share. You sit in darkness, whether in every part of your life or only a few "rooms".

Some of you may have been without "The Light" so long the windows of your soul are going to be hard to open, the dust of life is going to have to be cleaned up.  Just know that with "The Great Light I Am" he is able to clean all the dust, hurts, pains, and fears .. Just let Him in, in every room.

Open the window to your soul!
