Have a Merry and Peaceful Christmas

Luke 2:19

19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.

I think I heard a pastor yesterday mention this verse :D  Christmas is about the birth of Jesus and is full of celebrations.  Like Pastor Roc said yesterday, there are many ways to celebrate this and many people celebrated them differently even on that first night.  But, I can't help but think of Mary.  In all that she was going through and all she had been told, and the shock she must of been in, the verse says "she treasured all these things and pondered them in her heart."  Mary showed us the perfect picture of peace and how Christmas should be celebrated, in peace.

I think with all the shopping, wrapping, cooking, and running around, peace is often lost.

One of the best ways to stay healthy is to find peace.  Stress has terribly effect on our bodies.

Stress can play a part in problems such as headaches, high blood pressure, heart problems, diabetes, skin conditions, asthma, arthritis, depression, and anxiety.

Ways to Reduce Stress

1. Pray:  it lowers blood pressure and breathing rate ..God is so great how everything works for our benefit when we follow His instructions.

2. Exercise!: it releases endorphins that help you feel good and minimizes the stress hormones released.

3. Get enough sleep

4. Light a candle with aromatherapy

5. Laugh

6. Hug someone

7. Surround yourself with family and friends

8. Listen to Music

9. Get a Massage

10. Avoid Processed Foods:they create stress on your digestive system

Jesus is the number one way to find peace.  He gives a peace that is beyond what we can explain.  If you don't know Him, none of the above will work, for He is the only giver of true peace.

Merry Christmas!!
