International Mission Project in Gatlinburg

International Mission Project in Gatlinburg

At the Ladies Retreat we heard from Missionary Bill Black, Smoky Mountain Resort Ministries about various ministries going on in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area and how we could partner with them.  One area is a ministry to internationals that come to work in the resort area. They come from all over the world and this is a great opportunity to do International Missions in our home state.

ISBC Women’s Ministry ordered 500 drawstring backpacks that will be given as Welcome Bags on Saturday, June 2.  Currently, we are receiving donations and collecting items that will bring a  smile :) to their face when they open their Welcome bags.  We have also set up an Amazon Wish List that will ship directly to our Glenwood Office.  The link to is:

The bags will be assembled on Wednesday, May 30, 6:00 pm at the Glenwood Campus.  Everyone is welcome to help.

On Saturday, June 2 we will go to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge and help distribute the bags. Space is limited to 10 -12.  If you are interested in going please email womensministry@isbc.org .
