Thanks so very much to everyone who donated and helped in any way with the Shoes & Socks Distribution at Gibsontown Ministries!! Saturday 52 children from Cloud Apartments, Gibsontown Community and Interfaith Hospitality (age 14 and under) were fitted with a warm pair of socks and shoes. There were eleven children that we were unable to fit and we plan to purchase a pair of shoes for them. If you are interested in helping to purchase these shoes or shopping for them, please contact Melissa Sherfey (sherfeym@comcast.net). We had several pairs of shoes left that will be made available to those that participate in the various ministries and services at Gibsontown Ministries. We expect most all of them be on the feet of children within the next month. In addition to shoes and socks each child was given a Christian coloring book or activity book and crayons. Adults were given a “Here’s Hope” tract. Gibsontown Ministries also made available bags of non-perishable food and adult clothing to those that came.
