Healthy Diet Tips about Grains.. bonus video link

         

Ezekiel 4:9          

“And you, take wheat and barley, beans and lentils, millet and emmer, and put them into a single vessel and make your bread from them. During the number of days that you lie on your side, 390 days, you shall eat it.

Many of you have seen my Grain Free Pinterest Board.  Some of you came to my class and heard me talk about the dangers of grains.  God made everything perfect.  He created the plants and animals for us to take in as our food.  It says so in the Bible. The bible talks about bread many times and the baking of it.  The problem occurs when man modifies it.  We have done things like feed the animals the wrong feed and keep them caged up.  We pump them full of medicines and hormones.  We process the foods for mass production, genetically modify it to make it bigger and produce more.  Then we feed those things to the animals too.  You get the idea.

One of the most modified foods in our current time is grains.  Specifically corn, wheat, and soy.  These are the worst.  They have been modified to be mass produced, to grow bigger, to be fillers in processed foods, and they are cheap and easy to use.  The problem is they have little to no nutritional value when this process takes place and you are eating empty calories.  These calories cause a rise and steep decline in insulin which then tells your body "help, store fat!".  I do eat carbs and I do eat non GMO grains.  I personally avoid wheat because that is very hard to find not genetically modified.  So what grains are healthy? Non GMO corn if you can find it.  I am not talking about as an ingredient in processed in packaged foods.  I am talking about on the cob from the farm and I have purchased some from my farm girl this summer.  Non GMO oats, quinoa, millet, rice.  Sprouted grains, spelt, and coconut flour.  Non-wheat pasta.

I watched a great video today on all that I have been taught and all that I have been teaching.  I,  in NO WAY, think that you need to sign up for a program or pay for a diet plan.  Just apply the principals and eat healthy and get some exercise.  The video link below is great at explaining the extra pounds all of us put on for "no apparent reason".  There is so much hidden junk in our foods and so much processing and modifications going on that we are unaware of.  Take a few minutes and watch the video, but there is no need to purchase any plan and I am not endorsing it in any way.  Just watch it for the information and apply it.
