Tara Furman of Knowing God Ministries will be our speaker and ISBC native Tammi Rhoton will
be our worship leader.  Cost is non-refundable $85 and includes lodging (3-4 per room), meals, and materials.  Payment plans and limited single/double occupancy rooms are available.

Book: Having a Mary Heart in a Matha World by Joanna Weaver

The book is available at Lifeway and Books-a-million.  It is $14.99 paperback.  As usual, if cost is at all a problem PLEASE let me know in confidence and Women's Ministry will purchase the book. Please don't let the cost stop you from the blessings you will get with this study!!)

Small Groups
Have you signed up for a Small Group yet? Don't miss this opportunity to connect with other ladies in a home setting. Sign-up sheets are located at both campuses. Most of them start the week after Labor Day.

Fit for the King 5K Race/3K Walk/Kids' Run/Kids' Dash - Sunday, September 16th
(There won't be services at the church campuses that evening.)

If you are not pre-registered for the 5K, we cannot guarantee you will get a t-shirt the day of the race. The fee for the 5K is $20 . The other events are free and do not include a t-shirt, but they will be available for purchase at the race. You can reserve them in advance.

Trophies will be awarded for the 5K; medals for all the children in the Kids' events. No awards for the 3K Walk, but there will be door prizes.

A post-race barbeque meal will be served by Fire Crew Barbeque. Reservations are requested. All participants must fill out a race form and waiver, which are located at the WM tables at both campuses. You can indicate on the form how many non-particpants will be coming with you for the meal, or you can contact Pam Archer at 292-9418, or the church office at 323-2187 to make reservations. Please do this as soon as possible. Thank you!

Gibsontown Sock & Shoe Drive is going on now. We need lots of shoes and socks, enough for 300+ children and teens. Collection boxes are located at both campuses. Deadline is September 18th. Volunteers are still needed. Contact Melissa Sherfey at glenwoodoffice@isbc.org, or 323-3187.

Small Groups - Corrections and Changes
The Nehemiah DVD series, led by Teresa Reynolds, starts tonight at 6:30, at Glenwood.
The sign-up sheets for all the Small Groups are located at the WM table in the main lobby at Hill Rd., and the main hallway at Glenwood.

The Clean Eating Small Group, is not the same thing as the seminar that was held last night. If you want to sign up for Eating Clean Small Group, you will need to notify Brandy ASAP. NOTE that this group is limited to 10 people. Contact Brandy at kisnerct@charter.net or 212-0535.

Gibsontown Sock & Shoe Drive
New socks and shoes for children up to age 14 are needed. Monetary donations or gift cards are accepted as well.
Volunteers are needed to set up on Friday, Sept. 21st, for about 1 1/2 hours, and/or distribution on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 22nd.
Collection boxes are located at both Hill Rd. and Glenwood. You can bring them to the church offices during the week, or to Gibsontown, 1022 Dorothy Street, on Thursdays at either 11:00 AM or 5 PM. Contact Melissa Sherfey at glenwoodoffice@isbc.org, or 323-2187 for more information, or to volunteer.
Ladies Conference
Friday evening, August 24th, and Saturday morning, August 25th, in the SAC. We will be showing the DVD series by Priscilla Shirer, "Jonah: Navigating a Life Interrupted" Sign-up sheets are located at the WM table. There's no charge, but we need to know how many are coming in order to purchase enough food and drinks. Contact Susie Toomey, sktoomey@king.edu. Child care will be provided for children birth to 4 years of age. There's no charge, but reservations are required and cancellations for child care must be made by Wednesday, the 22nd. To make a reservation for child care for one or both days, contact Pam Archer at afcpam@gmail.com or 292-9418.

Fit for the King 5K Race, 3K Walk, Kids' Run, and Kids' Dash
Registration is in full-swing for this event. You can register in the lobbies of either campus, via isbc.org, or at active.com.
Non-participants in the races are welcome to attend. We need to know if you are coming, so Fire Crew Barbeque can prepare enough food for the post-race meal.

We have an exciting Fall line-up with lots of activities and opportunities for service.





Clean Eating
Our Health & Wellness Coordinator, Brandy Kisner, is writing a series on "Making Your Food Work for You" on our WM blog each Tuesday. These posts are very informative. Brandy is teaching us how to eat without preservatives, additives, and other unhealthy things that are in our processed foods. Ladies Conference
Friday night (6:00-9:15)and Saturday morning (8:45-12:00), August 24th and 25th, in the SAC. We will be viewing the Priscilla Shirer DVD series "Jonah, Navigating a Life Interrupted". There isn't a fee, but sign-up is appreciated.  Food will be provided. Please sign-up at the WM table in the foyer. 

Small Groups
Beginning the week of September 10th. These six-eight week sessions will be meeting in homes and various locations. Details will be revealed next week, but there will be lots of variety to choose from. We still need a few leaders. Contact Susie Toomey at susiektoomey@king.edu if you are willing to lead one of these Small Groups.

Third Annual Fit for the King Race Day
Sunday, September 16th is the date for this event at Warrior's Path State Park. Sign-up sheets are located at the WM table in the church foyer. All race participants are required to register. We would also like to know how many people will be coming with you to enjoy the activities and meal, or who wish to purchase a t-shirt.  T-shirts are included with registration for the 5K race.  The 5K is $20. The 3K walk, the Kids' Run, and the Kids' Dash are all free. Festivities begin at 4:30 pm. For more info, contact Pam Archer, afcpam@gmail.com or 292-9418.

Gibsontown Sock and Shoe Drive
September 21st-22nd.  More than 300 pairs of socks and shoes are needed for the children. Volunteers at both campuses are needed to oversee the collection points.  Many more volunteers will be needed on the dates of set-up and distribution. WOMEN'S MINISTRY WEDNESDAY

IMPORTANT MEETING -This Sunday, July 8th, at 5:00 in room A210 for all ladies! Decisions will be made regarding the Holiday Dinner, Small Groups, and other activities and events planned for this Fall. We need your input, insight, and vote.

Small Group Leaders Needed -We are launching a Small Group Ministry this Fall.  These groups will be meeting in homes or other venues.  They will include Bible Studies, Book Studies, and other activities and will run in six-week sessions.  The purpose is to become more connected with each other, building relationships, while growing in the knowledge of the Lord.  We need leaders!  Please contact Susie Toomey if you would like to be a Small Group Leader. sktoomey@king.edu

Pottery Painting Party- tomorrow night at Brushstrokes and more.  6:00-8:30.  There's plenty of room, so bring a friend and come on out!  It is located near Walmart between Woodstone Deli and Bill's Automotive.Sandwiches and drinks will be provided, but you can bring and appetizer if you want.

Pottery Painting Party:
Come join us for a night of creativity and fellowship on Thursday, June 28th from 6-8 p.m. Brushstrokes n' More (3432 Ft. Henry Drive) is a paint-your-own pottery studio and provides hundreds of choices of pottery and all the supplies you need to create your own masterpiece! Cost is $5 per person plus your pottery choice (rates start at $6 per piece). Feel free to also bring your favorite appetizer to share with the group. Sandwiches and drinks will be provided.

Ladies’ Small Group Leaders Needed

Would you like to lead a small group of ladies in a weekly Bible study, book discussion, or prayer group?
Morning or evening.  In a home or in another venue.  Groups will begin in the fall and will run for six to seven weeks. 
You could be instrumental in helping a small group of ladies grow spiritually and build closer connections!

Missions Opportunity

Socks & Shoe Drive
As you do your spring cleaning, set aside those gently used shoes.  We will be collecting new socks and gently used or new shoes of all sizes to be distributed to children up to age 14 at Gibsontown Ministries at a date yet to be determined this fall.  Shoes need to be closed toed only.  New shoe laces, please.  We will begin the collection in August.  This will be a joint effort of Women’s Ministry and Captivated Girls (Youth girls of Glenwood Campus)  The distribution date will be on a Saturday.  Volunteers will be needed to help sort and set-up prior to distribution and also to fit children on the distribution day.  Watch for date and volunteer sign-up.   We would also like to have a few volunteers to purchase a pair of shoes for kids we cannot fit, just in case they are needed. 
Last year 300+ pairs were needed!

Wed 6/13: "Love and Logic": Learn techniques to help encourage self development while also teaching accountability.
Thurs 6/21: 6pm- "Ask the foot doctor" and foot screening- Dr. Chatelain will be talking about the most common foot problems and then will be following it up with an optional foot screening after the presentation.
Mon 6/25, 6pm- Hawaiian Hula class
Tues 6/26, 1pm- learn how to safely can foods to enjoy all year long!
